Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harris Screwball (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandon Griffin looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Brandon Griffin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Harris Screwball!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin doesn't manage to clinch there - Screwball circles away.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!

Griffin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Screwball to the mat! Screwball manages to get full guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Screwball lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Griffin!
Screwball throws some wild stikes that Griffin manages to avoid easily.

Screwball wants to stand but Griffin is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

Griffin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Screwball tries to kick Griffin off but Griffin keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Screwball wants to control but Griffin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Griffin is trying to work for a kimura but Screwball is defending well.

Griffin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Screwball knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Griffin goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Screwball has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Griffin but great work by Screwball.

Griffin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Griffin lands in his opponent's guard.

Screwball wants to sweep but no luck.
Griffin throws a strike but Screwball rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Screwball would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Griffin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Screwball is controlling him.
Screwball wants to get up but he can't break Griffin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Griffin drops back looking for a leg! Screwball is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Screwball manages to kick Griffin off! Griffin jumps back into Screwball's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Griffin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Griffin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
