Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksander Shevchenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Paul Dravinski!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shevchenko throws a one two combo.
Shevchenko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Shevchenko tries to bum rush Dravinski with a series of wild strikes but Dravinski uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Dravinski throws a sloppy head kick and Shevchenko moves out of range easily.

Shevchenko throws a series of strikes that have Dravinski backpedaling.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dravinski is defended easily by Shevchenko.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Shevchenko goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and Dravinski counters by clinching up.
The referee is keeping an eye on Dravinski - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Dravinski has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Shevchenko regains guard immediately.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Shevchenko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dravinski circles away quickly and effectively.

Dravinski has closed the distance and engaged Shevchenko in a clinch.

Dravinski is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Shevchenko can't fight it off and eventually Dravinski manages to take the fight to the floor. Shevchenko looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Paul Dravinski tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
