Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Powerslave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucious Vorenus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lucious Vorenus!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powerslave scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Vorenus doesn't seem bothered though.
Vorenus throws a nice looking combination but Powerslave bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Powerslave throws an overhand right that lands on Vorenus's shoulder, as Vorenus tries to avoid the shot.
Powerslave lands the left hand.
Powerslave feints and then cracks Vorenus's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vorenus down.
Vorenus throws a right and a left that Powerslave avoids nicely.
Eddie Powerslave seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vorenus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Powerslave's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Vorenus trying to control but Powerslave is working from the bottom.
Powerslave wants to stand and escape but Vorenus is having none of it.
Powerslave keeping moving, preventing Vorenus from controlling successfully.

Powerslave working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vorenus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vorenus manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Powerslave escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vorenus gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Vorenus wants to pass the guard but Powerslave is keeping the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Powerslave is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Vorenus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Powerslave has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vorenus has managed to get both his arms back between Powerslave's legs - danger averted.
Vorenus stands and throws Powerslave's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Powerslave sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Vorenus is trying to control the action in half guard but Powerslave is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Powerslave gets full guard.
Vorenus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Powerslave swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vorenus sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Powerslave's guard.
Vorenus tries to pass to full mount but Powerslave defends it.
Powerslave gets back to full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Powerslave is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vorenus defends well.

Vorenus wants to pass the guard but Powerslave is keeping the position.

Vorenus is posturing up here but Powerslave has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Vorenus tries to roll out but it's too tight and Vorenus has to tap! Slick submission there by Powerslave!
