Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thor Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Simms (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the ring accompanied by Sandstorm. Thor Silva could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Roger Simms's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Simms looking to score a takedown here. Silva is defending well but Simms drives through and ends up in Silva's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Simms lands a couple of digs.
Simms trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
Simms trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Simms is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Silva is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Simms is controlling him.

Silva pushes Simms off and scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Roger Simms has been cut.
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silva lands a glancing blow to the side of Simms's head.
Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Simms, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Simms fails with the takedown.

Silva looks to land a combination but Simms avoids it well.
Simms gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Silva.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
