Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Mullard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzalez comes into the arena with Why Cant we Be Friends! blaring out of the sound system. Jesus Gonzalez is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jesus Gonzalez!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Andre Mullard!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mullard back to the cage. Gonzalez follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Mullard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gonzalez's waist but Gonzalez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mullard off to one side.
Mullard moves away from the strike by Gonzalez.
Mullard shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gonzalez as he jumps to the side.
Mullard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gonzalez checks a leg kick.

Mullard shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gonzalez pushes Mullard back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Gonzalez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gonzalez cracks the inside of Mullard's front leg.
Mullard looks winded!

Gonzalez tries to sprawl but Mullard drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Mullard stalling away here and it's allowed Gonzalez to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Gonzalez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mullard is controlling him.
Mullard postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gonzalez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Mullard trying to control but Gonzalez is working from the bottom.
Gonzalez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mullard is one step ahead there.
Gonzalez is working hard here to advance position.
Mullard won't allow Gonzalez to get back to his feet.

Mullard passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Gonzalez gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Mullard sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Gonzalez is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mullard looking to control but Gonzalez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Mullard in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jesus Gonzalez will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Gonzalez leaves Mullard with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gonzalez dodges the punch combination from Mullard.
Mullard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gonzalez tries to avoid it but Mullard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gonzalez to the ground. Gonzalez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Andre Mullard is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mullard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mullard shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gonzalez as he jumps to the side.

Mullard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gonzalez.
Mullard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gonzalez pinned against the cage. Gonzalez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gonzalez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Gonzalez gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mullard to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Gonzalez is concentrating on defense, preventing Mullard from advancing position.
Andre Mullard has got the better of the ground game so far.

Mullard lands a big shot there that rocks Gonzalez but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Mullard cracks Gonzalez with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Gonzalez tries to hold on but Mullard pushes him away.
Gonzalez is squirming around, avoiding Mullard's attempts to control the action.
Gonzalez is looking to improve his position but Mullard isn't that keen on the idea.

Mullard lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mullard lands a big shot there that rocks Gonzalez but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Mullard trying to control but Gonzalez is having none of it.
Mullard looking to control and managing it successfully.
Mullard has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gonzalez's face.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gonzalez is trying to stand up here but Mullard is controlling him well.

Mullard unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Gonzalez wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Mullard celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
