Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Veldrane Sengir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sasha Grey!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grey closes the distance and clinches.

Grey is fighting off a takedown attempt but Sengir is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Grey to the mat. Grey regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Grey looking for a guillotine here but Sengir defends easily.
Sengir controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Sengir's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Grey seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Grey escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sengir gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

We're going to have a standup here because Veldrane Sengir wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Grey drives through and clinches with Sengir against the cage.

We've been hearing reports that Sengir has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Sengir has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Grey avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Grey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sengir pinned against the cage. Sengir gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Well Grey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
