PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Spat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jack Anderson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jack Anderson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Spat!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Spat's calf.
Spat shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Anderson as he avoids it easily.
Anderson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Anderson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Spat goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Jack Anderson has been cut.
Spat keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Spat changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Anderson tries to avoid it but Spat manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anderson to the ground. Anderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Spat lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Anderson backs up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Anderson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Spat on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Spat stalling in the clinch but Anderson improves position.
Anderson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Spat's elbow.

Spat breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Anderson feints and then cracks Spat's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Spat down.
Anderson lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Spat with a lazy takedown attempt
and Anderson counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Jack Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Spat.
Anderson misses with a body kick.
Spat tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Anderson swivels and escapes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Anderson throws a head kick but Spat moves out of range.
Anderson swats away the attempt to clinch by Spat.
A chopping leg kick lands by Anderson.
Spat takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Spat closes the distance and clinches up with Anderson, looking for a takedown. Spat pushes Anderson against the cage but Anderson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Anderson lands a head kick!
Anderson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Anderson misses with a head kick.
Spat shoots in but Anderson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Spat pushes Anderson up against the cage in a clinch.
Anderson scores with a shoulder strike.
Anderson lands with a short punch from the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Anderson comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


It looks like Jack Spat has been cut.
Spat tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Anderson's elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Anderson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Spat looking to slow down the pace here.
Anderson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Anderson is leaning against Spat and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Spat managing to block the knees to the body from Anderson.
A head punch on the inside from Spat fails to land.
Spat has a couple of punches blocked by Anderson.
Spat is trying to force a seperation but Anderson has the dominant position.
Anderson throws a punch but it's blocked by Spat.
Spat stalls.
Spat tries to throw a body punch but Anderson avoids it by throwing Spat back against the cage.
Spat swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Spat prevents a body shot from Anderson.

Spat pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Anderson is looking to slow Spat down with leg kicks.
Anderson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Anderson lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Anderson keeps the fight on the outside.
A good leg kick by Anderson.
Spat gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Spat on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Spat's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Anderson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Anderson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A nice inside leg kick there by Anderson. That's going to slow Spat down.
Spat tries to close the distance and clinch but Anderson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Spat is looking to clinch.
Spat tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Anderson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Anderson swats away the attempt to clinch by Spat.

Spat drives through and clinches with Anderson against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Spat is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Spat tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Anderson's elbow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Spat takes an elbow to the forehead.
Spat misses with a hook from the clinch.
Spat is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Spat lands a right hand.
Spat throws a head punch that misses.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Anderson scores with a shoulder strike.
Anderson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A head punch on the inside from Anderson fails to land.
Spat takes an elbow to the temple.
Spat wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Anderson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Spats head.
Anderson lands a body punch.
Spat looks winded!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Anderson scores with a shot to the side of Spat's head.
Anderson lands with a right to the head.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Anderson dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Spat takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Anderson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Spat trying to stall but Anderson improves his position.
Anderson landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Anderson lands an uppercut.
Spat takes a knee to the side of the body.
Anderson scores with a shot to the side of Spat's head.
Anderson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Anderson drops Spat with a big knee straight up the middle! Spat is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!


Spat is rocked!
Anderson keeps Spat at a distance using the push kick.
Spat is still on wobbly legs! Can Anderson finish him?

Anderson forces Spat back against the cage and clinches.
Anderson throws a big uppercut that drops Spat! More strikes from Anderson and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Spat lies dazed against the cage as Anderson celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Anderson!
Jack Anderson got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
