Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, The Stud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ray Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stud is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jackson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stud is fending him off so far but Jackson persists. Nope, Stud circles away and we're back to standing.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stud swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jackson shoots and misses

and Stud counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Jackson!
Jackson is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stud goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Jackson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Stud's guard! Nice work there by Jackson!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stud working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jackson.
Jackson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Stud is working an open guard so Jackson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Stud gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Jackson drags the fight down to the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Stud preventing the sweep.
Stud trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Stud in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Stud is looking to work some ground and pound but Jackson has wrist control.
Stud trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stud accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jackson is adopting a defensive guard.
Stud wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
Jackson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jackson keeps the fight on the outside.

Stud manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jackson on his heels. He'll look to pass Jackson's guard now, I'm sure.
Stud passes Jackson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Jackson is not content to let Stud control the position.
Jackson gets full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stud prevents Jackson from getting back to his feet.
Jackson looks winded!
Stud looking to pass the guard.
Stud with a nice head shot there.
Stud loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Stud trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jackson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stud doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stud manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Stud wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
Jackson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Stud is looking to work some ground and pound but Jackson has wrist control.
Stud slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Stud lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Stud with a nice head shot there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stud stands up over Jackson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Stud works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Stud content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Stud throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Stud wants to take a breather but Jackson is having none of it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stud tries to pass to full mount but Jackson defends it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stud is stalling here. Jackson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Stud seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jackson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Stud tries to bench press Jackson off him but Jackson keeps the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Stud dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Stud tries to clinch up.
Jackson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Stud counters with a good low kick that Jackson was not able to check.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Stud moves out of range.
The Stud is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Stud looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Jackson!
The ground and pound from Stud seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Check out the look on Stud's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Stud wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy.

Stud has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jackson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Stud yanks on the arm and Jackson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Stud.
