Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vecheslav Gurin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey O Doherty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gurin comes to the cage accompanied by Dolphin - I Will Live. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurin shoots in looking for a takedown but O Doherty manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gurin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
O Doherty loads up on a big right hand but Gurin slips the punch.
O Doherty throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Gurin shoots for a double leg takedown but O Doherty sprawls well. He's pushed Gurin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gurin has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vecheslav Gurin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gurin blocks a jab.
O Doherty throws a looping overhand right but Gurin ducks down to avoid it.
O Doherty displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gurin.
O Doherty works the jab nicely.
O Doherty looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
O Doherty stuffs the takedown.
O Doherty cracks Gurin with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Gurin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gurin shoots in looking for a takedown. O Doherty tries to sprawl out of it but Gurin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. O Doherty manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

O Doherty stuns Gurin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Gurin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? O Doherty is fending him off so far but Gurin persists. Nope, O Doherty circles away and we're back to standing.
Gurin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Gurin takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Gurin dodges the punch combination from O Doherty.
O Doherty lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gurin backs up against the cage.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gurin.
O Doherty throws out a loose jab but Gurin uses good head movement to avoid it.
O Doherty looks to throw the jab but Gurin is out of range.
O Doherty bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
O Doherty moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Gurin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
O Doherty wants to control but Gurin postures up.

Gurin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Gurin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by O Doherty, who protects the arm well.
O Doherty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gurin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

O Doherty is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Gurin has just dragged him back down to the mat.
O Doherty stops Gurin from passing to mount.
O Doherty pushes Gurin away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gurin gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Gurin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but O Doherty is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gurin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, O Doherty has escaped the position, nice work there.

Gurin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
