Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sho Kazuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazuki has chosen Effects of Hiroshima as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
21 - 13 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joe Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Sho Kazuki!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis scores with a jab to the head.
Davis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kazuki moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kazuki looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kazuki feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Davis's calf.
Kazuki throws a lazy uppercut
and Davis counters with a three punch combo that has Kazuki backing up. Kazuki nods at Davis to acknowledge the strikes.
Davis throws a good cross that connects.
Davis blocks a leg kick.
Kazuki slips a straight right by Davis.
Kazuki tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kazuki tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Davis misses with a lunging right hand
and Kazuki counters with a stiff right hand.
Davis connects with a leg kick. Kazuki looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Kazuki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Davis swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kazuki misses with a leg kick
and Davis counters with a straight right hand.

Davis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A chopping leg kick lands by Kazuki.
Davis keeps the fight on the outside.
Kazuki shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Davis keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Kazuki moves into range and clinches up with Davis.
Davis lands a body punch in the clinch.
Davis lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kazuki or not.
Kazuki looks winded!
Kazuki misses with a punch on the inside.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Davis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Kazuki misses with the head strike.
Davis tries a body shot but Kazuki blocks it.
Davis tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Davis pushes Kazuki back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Davis struggles to land a body shot inside as Kazuki controls his hands.
Davis lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Kazuki tries a body shot but Davis blocks it.
Davis is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kazuki can't fight it off and eventually Davis manages to take the fight to the floor. Kazuki looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Davis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kazuki's guard.
Davis is nestled in close to Kazuki, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Kazuki is rocked!
Davis is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Kazuki is still in real trouble! Can Davis finish him?
Kazuki is looking to improve his position.

Davis takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Davis lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Kazuki! More strikes land and this one is all over! Davis jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Davis!
During a confident post fight interview, Joe Davis thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
