The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carioca tries to close the distance and clinch up but Decampo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Carioca is looking to clinch.
Carioca throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Decampo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carioca avoids it really well and circles away.
Decampo shoots in but Carioca avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Carioca throws out a loose jab but Decampo uses good head movement to avoid it.
Carioca tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Carioca ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Decampo moves away.

Carioca closes the distance and clinches.
Carioca wants to break the clinch but can't.
Carioca is trying to break the clinch but Decampo is controlling him.
Carioca is trying to break the clinch but Decampo has him pressed against the cage.

Carioca manages to break the clinch.

Carioca throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Carioca misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Carioca lands a head kick. Decampo smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Carioca stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raul Decampo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carioca tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Decampo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Raul Decampo spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
