Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Doc Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas comes to the cage accompanied by Lunatic Fringe by Red Ryder. Summers is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Meatloaf: In The Land Of The Pigs. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 16 - 2, fighting out of New York, Doc Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dylan Summers!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Summers moves out of range of the body kick from Thomas.
Summers staying out of range there.
Summers misses with a wild body shot.
Thomas takes a swing at Summers's ribcage but misses.
Thomas slaps away a takedown attempt from Summers, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Thomas swings for the body but Summers moves out of range.
Summers is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Summers wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Thomas scores with a jab to the body.
Thomas throws an overhand right that lands on Summers's shoulder, as Summers tries to avoid the shot.
Summers wants to clinch up but Thomas keeps it at a distance.
Thomas misses with a looping right.

Summers rushes Thomas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Thomas tries to throw a body punch but Summers avoids it by throwing Thomas back against the cage.

Thomas lands a right hand that snaps the head of Summers backwards.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Dylan Summers.
Thomas misses the jab.
Summers dives in and grabs Thomas's left leg, looking for a takedown. Thomas pushes down on Summers's head and hops out.

Summers shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Summers was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Thomas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Summers.

Thomas lands with a hook. Summers tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Thomas throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Summers looks to score with a jab to the body but Thomas is just out of range.
Summers shoots for a double leg takedown but Thomas sprawls well. He's pushed Summers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Doc Thomas will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Summers moves out of range of the strikes.
Summers takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Summers tries to work over Thomas's front leg with a kick but Thomas checks it.
Dylan Summers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thomas fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Summers is out of range.

Thomas gets the takedown into side control.

Thomas lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Summers down.
Thomas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Summers keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thomas misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Thomas throws an elbow but Summers slips to the side and avoids it well.
Thomas connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Summers some visible discomfort.
Summers is not content to let Thomas control the position.
Summers is looking to reverse the position.

The strikes coming from Thomas are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Summers avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Thomas.

Thomas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Summers does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

We're going to have a standup here because Doc Thomas wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Thomas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Summers.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Thomas enables Summers to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Thomas manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Thomas has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Summers's face.

And that's the end of the fight!
Doc Thomas showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Thomas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
