Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dank Kush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urmum Sphace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dank Kush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Urmum Sphace!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kush lands a front kick.

Sphace gets tackled into the cage by Kush. Kush maintains the clinch.
Kush leaning against his opponent.
Sphace misses with an elbow over the top.
Sphace should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Kush fails to pull guard.

Kush breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sphace darts in trying to clinch
and Kush counters with a slapping leg kick.
Kush will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kush shoots in for a double leg but Sphace sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dank Kush. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sphace. Kush does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sphace tries to clinch up

and Kush counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Sphace misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kush.
Sphace manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Sphace lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Kush breaks from the clinch.
Kush lands a jab-cross combination.
Kush shoots in looking for a takedown but Sphace manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kush's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Kush holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Sphace throws a punch but it's blocked by Kush.
Kush avoids a wild elbow strike from Sphace.

Kush's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Kush counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sphace!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sphace tries to buck Kush off but he can't manage it.
Sphace tries to improve his position but instead Kush has taken his back!

Even with his hooks in, Kush manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Kush has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Sphace's body.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kush looking to break Sphace's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Sphace remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Kush will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Kush working for a choke but Sphace is defending well.

Kush misses with a punch to the head.

Kush is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Sphace trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Sphace tries to roll but Kush sticks to his back.
Kush somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Sphace tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Kush throwing strikes here but Sphace is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

and Kush counters with a left and a right that stings Sphace.

and Kush counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Kush escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dank Kush is winning the standup battle so far.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kush is defended easily by Sphace.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Horrible takedown by Kush or perhaps it was just good defense by Sphace which made him look bad.

Sphace tries to clinch up

and Kush counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kush.
Sphace misses with a short punch on the inside.
Sphace jumps guard but Kush stands there with Sphace around his waist. Sphace gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kush is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sphace gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Kush lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Kush shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sphace sprawls well. Sphace wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kush gets slowly back to his feet.
Sphace looks to land a combination but Kush avoids it well.

Kush dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Kush jumps into guard, dragging Sphace to the mat.
Kush is pulling down on Sphace's head to control his posture.
Sphace must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Sphace wants to control from the top but Kush keeps moving.

Sphace avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kush bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sphace's guard.
Sphace is trying to control the position but Kush postures up.
Sphace wants to stand up but Kush is controlling him.
Kush tries to free his leg and advance position but Sphace is retaining full guard.
Kush controls from within his opponent's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kush looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sphace is fending him off so far but Kush persists. Nope, Sphace circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Kush shoots in for a double leg but Sphace sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kush throws a head kick that Sphace semi-blocks.
Sphace misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sphace misses with a takedown attempt - Kush sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sphace tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Kush counters with a low kick, right behind Sphace 's knee.
Urmum Sphace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Kush makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Sphace takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Sphace takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Sphace tries to work over Kush's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Sphace is trying to break the clinch but Kush is controlling him.

Kush jumps guard and drags Sphace to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Kush is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Dank Kush overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
