Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Boon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bo Dega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boon comes into the arena with Who are you? Come on, goodbye! blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boon shoots in looking for a takedown but Dega manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Boon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Boon drives through with a takedown into guard.

Boon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Boon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Boon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Boon has gone for a leg lock! Dega slips out almost immediately though and dives into Boon's guard.

Boon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dega gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Boon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dega doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dega manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Dega controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bo Dega.
Boon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Boon shoots in for a double leg but Dega sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Dega feints and then cracks Boon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Boon down.
Bo Dega is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Dega lands a leg kick that knocks Boon off balance momentarily.
Dega ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
The fighters circle momentarily. Dega darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Boon misses with a takedown

Dega throws a leg kick which misses Boon's front leg but catches the back leg as Boon tries to avoid it.

Dega lands a leg kick that knocks Boon off balance momentarily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A left lands for Dega.
Dega leaves Boon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kirk Boon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dega stuffs the takedown attempt from Boon. Boon gets slowly back to his feet.
Dega scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Boon is rocked!

Dega sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Boon's defenses. It connects perfectly with Boon's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
