Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Method Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Holic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man's entrance music is Wu-Tang Clan-METHOD MAN . A fine choice. Holic has chosen Alcohol as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holic slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Holic isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Man stacks Holic on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Man!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Man enables Holic to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Man manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Holic postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Man is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Holic, into his guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Man in particular looking to stall.

Method Man has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Holic takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Holic fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Holic avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Holic has his foot on Man's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Man works his way back into a safe position though.

and Holic counters with a nice uppercut.

Man clinches up with Holic and pushes him back against the cage.

Man's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Man counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Holic might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Man is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Holic throws a lazy right hand but Man sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Holic shoots in for a takedown but Man shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Man takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Holic stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Holic misses with a takedown attempt - Man sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Method Man.
I think Holic has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
