The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGrew throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Martell's waist but Martell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McGrew off to one side.
Good leg kick by Martell there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

McGrew shoots in looking for a takedown. Martell tries to sprawl out of it but McGrew keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Martell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McGrew shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Martell as he avoids it easily.

Martell throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Martell bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McGrew's head backwards.

McGrew sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Martell stuffs the takedown attempt from McGrew. McGrew gets slowly back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McGrew on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Oh McGrew is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Martell lets loose with a powerful body kick. McGrew will feel that in the morning.

McGrew shoots in but Martell avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and McGrew counters with a nice double leg into side control. Martell won't be happy with that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Martell throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Martell cracks McGrew on the jaw with a powerful right hand and McGrew falls backwards against the cage. Martell follows up with more strikes that drop McGrew to his knees. Martell keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save McGrew! This one is all over!

Oberyn Martell took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Next.'.
