The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Van Braam gets a clinch.

Gracie has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Van Braam is trying to keep an underhook but Gracie manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Gracie prevents Van Braam from improving his position.
Van Braam is not content to let Gracie control the position.

Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Van Braam moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Van Braam keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully.

Van Braam had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gracie defends it easily.

Van Braam is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Gracie works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Van Braam trying to get back to full guard but Gracie takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Gracie is persistently looking for the submission but Van Braam is defending it well.

Gracie has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Van Braam! Can he survive? No! He's out! Gracie gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
