Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Roach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Roach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andrew Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roach just misses with a punch to the body.
Roach pivots, looking for a leg kick but Jackson is out of range and Roach settles back down.
Roach swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Roach takes a swing at Jackson's ribcage but misses.
Bobby Roach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Roach manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jackson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jackson wants it to stay on the feet.

Jackson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jackson wants to free his trapped foot but Roach is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Roach regains full guard. Nicely done.

Roach had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jackson defends it easily.

Jackson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Jackson moves into the clinch.

Roach wants a takedown but no success here.

Jackson jumps into guard, dragging Roach to the mat.
Jackson is trying to keep Roach in close.

Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roach. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Roach thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Roach working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jackson's head.

Roach drops back looking for a leg! Jackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jackson manages to kick Roach off! Roach jumps back into Jackson's guard.

Roach is pushing down on Jackson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jackson is fighting to maintain full guard but Roach has managed to sneak the leg through.
Jackson tries to kick Roach off in order to stand up. Roach Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Jackson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Jackson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Jackson looks winded!
Jackson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Roach lands a decent elbow from side control.

Roach has knee on belly and moves into mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Jackson is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Roach has taken his back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Roach is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Roach has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Jackson! Can he survive? No! He's out! Roach gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
