The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones connects with the punch.
Jones throws a nice outside leg kick.
Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.
A telegraphed right hand from Smith misses the target.
Jones lands a leg kick that knocks Smith off balance momentarily.
Jones connects with a solid leg kick.
Smith misses with a looping left.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jones.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jones forces Smith back against the cage and clinches.
Jones is defending well against a takedown attempt.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jones just misses with a elbow thrown towards Smith's brow.
Smith is working for takedown but Jones is calmly controlling the position for now.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jones cracks Smith with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jones has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Smith to stand back up!

Smith is rocked!
Jones throws an uppercut from hell that sends Smith clean off his feet! He's out cold! Jones stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
