The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LeBlanc has his takedown stuffed
and Spokesthing counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Spokesthing slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Spokesthing ducks down and throws a hook to the body but LeBlanc moves away.

Spokesthing throws a low kick but it's checked well by LeBlanc.

LeBlanc shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Spokesthing sprawls well. Spokesthing wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. LeBlanc gets slowly back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Spokesthing is not content to let LeBlanc control the position.
LeBlanc is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Spokesthing is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
LeBlanc is really struggling to control Spokesthing but he's trying to hold on to the position.
