Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Aconte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clayton Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magnus Aconte has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Magnus Aconte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Clayton Black!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aconte drives through and clinches with Black against the cage.
Aconte wants to get back to striking at distance but Black won't allow it.

Aconte breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown by Black or perhaps it was just good defense by Aconte which made him look bad.

Black closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Aconte quickly recovers to half guard.

Aconte is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Black pulls his head out easily.

Black is looking for a kimura but Aconte is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Black to get the leverage.
Aconte looks like he's trying to stand up.

Black wants to work for an arm triangle but Aconte is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Aconte has one foot on Black's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Aconte stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Aconte closes the distance and clinches.
Black changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Aconte fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Black shoots in but Aconte avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Aconte darts in and clinches Black up against the cage.
Black is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Aconte pulls him back up using the underhooks.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Aconte stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Aconte wants it to stay on the feet.
Black shoots in for a takedown but Aconte shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Black shoots in and drives through. Aconte sprawls well.

Black bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Black wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aconte keeps working.
Aconte is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
