Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Doe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ragnar Sigurdsson!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe shoots for a double leg takedown but Sigurdsson sprawls well. He's pushed Doe's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Sigurdsson has closed the distance and engaged Doe in a clinch.
Doe wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sigurdsson has him pressed against the cage.
Sigurdsson throws an elbow but it misses.
Sigurdsson avoiding damage as Doe throws knees to the body.
Sigurdsson unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Sigurdsson stops a takedown attempt from Doe.
Sigurdsson lands a nice knee to the body.
Doe could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sigurdsson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Doe avoids it.
Doe tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sigurdsson smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Doe. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sigurdsson darts in and clinches Doe up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sigurdsson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sigurdsson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Doe not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Doe is breathing heavily.

Doe is working an open guard so Sigurdsson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Sigurdsson pushes Doe up against the cage in a clinch.

Sigurdsson wants to sweep here but Doe controlling him for the moment.
Sigurdsson throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Sigurdsson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Doe manages to get himself to full guard.
Sigurdsson trying to control the position from guard on top but Doe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sigurdsson stands up from Doe's guard - Sigurdsson perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Doe waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sigurdsson.
Doe will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Doe cracks Sigurdsson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Sigurdsson lands a big head kick that sends Doe tumbling to the mat! Sigurdsson takes a step backwards and waves Doe back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like John Doe has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sigurdsson doesn't manage to clinch there - Doe circles away.
Doe throws the kick towards the body but Sigurdsson avoids it.
Sigurdsson tries to clinch up
and Doe makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Sigurdsson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Doe manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Doe drives through and clinches with Sigurdsson against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Sigurdsson breaks from the clinch.
Sigurdsson wants to clinch.
Sigurdsson moves to clinch but Doe breaks away
and Doe counters with a straight right hand.
Doe shoots in for a takedown but Sigurdsson shows good takedown defense.
Sigurdsson tries to clinch there but Doe circles away.

Sigurdsson prevents a takedown attempt there.

Sigurdsson pulls guard.
Sigurdsson wants to stand and escape but Doe is having none of it.
Doe trying to control but Sigurdsson is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Doe throws a big right hand that misses.

Sigurdsson pushes Doe off and scrambles back to his feet.
Sigurdsson throws a leg kick which misses Doe's front leg but catches the back leg as Doe tries to avoid it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sigurdsson wants to clinch up but Doe keeps it at a distance.

Sigurdsson moves into the clinch.
Sigurdsson with a knee to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Doe is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sigurdsson to keep the fight standing.
Sigurdsson taking a breather.
Sigurdsson lands a damaging elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ragnar Sigurdsson dominated that round.
The cut man is working on John Doe's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Sigurdsson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sigurdsson connects with a nasty looking knee right to Doe's face.
Sigurdsson landing knees to the body.
Sigurdsson is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Sigurdsson connects with a knee to the head.


Doe is rocked!


John Doe's cut is getting worse.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Sigurdsson.
Oh Doe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sigurdsson wants the takedown. Doe is fighting it off but Sigurdsson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Doe's guard against the cage.
Sigurdsson postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Doe covers up, he's hurt! Sigurdsson keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Sigurdsson and the ref steps in to end the fight! Sigurdsson can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ragnar Sigurdsson!
