Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Kappa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Peterwhacker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, David Kappa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 15 - 1, fighting out of London, Michael Peterwhacker!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterwhacker throws a series of punches but Kappa moves out of range.
Peterwhacker tries to clinch but Kappa is having none of it.
Michael Peterwhacker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Peterwhacker pushes Kappa up against the cage in a clinch.
Peterwhacker goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kappa prevents it.
Kappa is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Peterwhacker trying to land knees to the body.
Peterwhacker tries to work over Kappa's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Kappa has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A short right from Kappa.

Kappa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Peterwhacker throws a combination that misses
and Kappa counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Peterwhacker is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Peterwhacker looking to score a takedown here. Kappa is defending well but Peterwhacker drives through and ends up in Kappa's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Peterwhacker throws a big right hand that misses.
Peterwhacker tries to free his leg and advance position but Kappa is retaining full guard.
Peterwhacker in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Peterwhacker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Peterwhacker connects with a couple of short punches.
Peterwhacker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Kappa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Peterwhacker gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kappa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Peterwhacker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Peterwhacker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Peterwhacker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kappa is keeping the position for now.
Peterwhacker is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Kappa looking for a guillotine here but Peterwhacker defends easily.

Kappa wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Peterwhacker slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Kappa is trying to improve his position.
Peterwhacker has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Peterwhacker landing strikes from the mount and Kappa is in trouble!


It looks like David Kappa has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kappa tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kappa regains half guard.
Peterwhacker is thwarting Kappa's attempts to control the position.
Peterwhacker is looking to pass Kappa's guard but actually Kappa recovers to full guard.
Peterwhacker keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kappa's head.

Kappa passes Peterwhacker's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Kappa uses his free foot to push down on Peterwhacker's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Peterwhacker.
Kappa sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The referee warns Peterwhacker that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Kappa punching from mount but Peterwhacker doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Kappa postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Peterwhacker looks a forlorn figure.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Peterwhacker blocking the ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Peterwhacker sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Peterwhacker is not content to let Kappa control the position.
Peterwhacker is looking for a sweep. Kappa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kappa wants to pass the guard but Peterwhacker is defending well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Peterwhacker tries to kick Kappa off but Kappa keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Kappa throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that David Kappa will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on David Kappa's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kappa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kappa tries to close the distance and clinch but Peterwhacker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Peterwhacker tries to clinch but Kappa is having none of it.

Peterwhacker throws a left that rocks Kappa and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Peterwhacker dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Kappa regain composure!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Peterwhacker working the strikes but Kappa uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Peterwhacker. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Peterwhacker moves into full mount! Kappa won't be happy about that!
Michael Peterwhacker has got the better of the ground game so far.
Peterwhacker won't let Kappa get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Kappa manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Kappa tries to roll over but Peterwhacker keeps him under control.
Peterwhacker takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Kappa tries to get to full guard but Peterwhacker has control of the leg.
Peterwhacker passes to full mount!

Kappa slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Kappa avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Peterwhacker.

Peterwhacker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kappa manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Peterwhacker has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Peterwhacker with a couple of short strikes.
Peterwhacker avoids the attempt from Kappa to control.
Kappa taking shots to the head.
Kappa is desperately trying to improve his position but Peterwhacker has a good base and remains in mount.
Peterwhacker in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.


Kappa is rocked!


David Kappa's cut is getting worse.
Peterwhacker putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Oh Kappa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!


David Kappa's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Kappa tries to reverse the position but Peterwhacker maintains control.

Peterwhacker working for a guillotine from mount but Kappa is in no mood to give up.
Kappa regains half guard.
Peterwhacker working the head and body with strikes.
Peterwhacker scores with a big shot! Kappa's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Kappa! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Peterwhacker!
