Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Alan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Halo Peridol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Thomas Alan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Halo Peridol!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alan moves into the clinch.
Alan misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Peridol has Alan pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Peridol pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Alan tumbling to the mat - Peridol dives into Alan's guard.
Peridol wants to control from the top but Alan keeps moving.
Peridol looking to pass the guard.
Peridol must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peridol controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Alan seems keen to control Peridol's posture.

Halo Peridol has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Peridol tries to keep at a distance but Alan has taken the fight into the clinch.

Peridol is fighting off a takedown attempt but Alan is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Peridol to the mat. Peridol regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Alan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Peridol working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Peridol utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Peridol is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Alan is stalling in the full guard.
Alan keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Peridol's head.
Peridol is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Alan wants to control from the top but Peridol keeps moving.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We're going to have a standup here because Thomas Alan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Peridol avoids a kick to the body.
Thomas Alan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peridol fails to land with a series of punches.

Alan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Alan advances to half guard.
Peridol tries to get to full guard but Alan has control of the leg.
Peridol is holding on to half guard well.

Peridol is looking for a sweep. Alan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Peridol shoots in and drives through. Alan sprawls well.

Alan has Peridol up against the cage in a clinch.

Alan scores with a nice hook to the head.

Alan tightens his grip and picks Peridol up, before dumping him to the ground. Peridol manages to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Alan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Alan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Peridol's guard.
Peridol looks winded!
Peridol wants to get back to full guard.
Alan works his way into full mount!

Alan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Peridol takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.


Peridol is rocked!
Peridol is desperately trying to improve his position but Alan has a good base and remains in mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thomas Alan dominated that round.
That's time! Alan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Alan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Peridol is still in real trouble! Can Alan finish him?

Peridol on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Alan works his foot free and advances to mount.
Alan looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Peridol covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
