Funkyama looks to clinch
and Medley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Fedor Funkyama has been cut.
Funkyama scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Medley doesn't seem bothered though.
Fedor Funkyama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Medley feints and then cracks Funkyama's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Funkyama down.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Medley lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Funkyama has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Funkyama and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Medley counters with a head kick. That will keep Funkyama thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Funkyama tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Medley was well out of range. Poor timing from Funkyama.
Medley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Medley finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Medley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Medley pivots, looking for a leg kick but Funkyama is out of range and Medley settles back down.
Funkyama tries to bum rush Medley with a series of wild strikes but Medley uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Funkyama just misses with a punch to the body.

Funkyama sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Good leg kick by Medley there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Funkyama is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Medley Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Funkyama is out cold, face down on the mat!

John Medley tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
