The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fontaine gets a clinch.

Fontaine ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fontaine no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Fontaine is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Fontaine manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lowe Jr manages to get himself to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fontaine is pushing down on Lowe Jr's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lowe Jr is fighting to maintain full guard but Fontaine has managed to sneak the leg through.

Lowe Jr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fontaine is working away from the top position though.

Fontaine decides to return to a standing position.

Fontaine rushes Lowe Jr and presses him up against the cage.

Fontaine pulls guard effortlessly.
Fontaine might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Fontaine not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lowe Jr is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Fontaine.
