The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ruiz.
Ruiz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Krol throws a sloppy head kick and Ruiz moves out of range easily.
Ruiz closes the distance and clinches up with Krol, looking for a takedown. Ruiz pushes Krol against the cage but Krol circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ruiz shoots for a double leg takedown but Krol sprawls well. He's pushed Ruiz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
