Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Bomb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Byrd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bomb comes to the cage accompanied by Living Young Wild And Free. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James Bomb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Byrd!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bomb dives in and scores a takedown into Byrd's guard.
Byrd looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Bomb passes into side control.
Byrd is looking for a sweep.
Bomb wants to lay and pray for a moment but Byrd keeps working.
Byrd is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bomb thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Byrd is pushing Bomb's head away, looking to escape. Bomb manages to hold on to the position though.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Byrd throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Bomb trying to control the action but Byrd is working from the bottom.
Bomb decides to stand back up.
Bomb shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Byrd counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Byrd.
Byrd slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Byrd would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Byrd decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bomb, up you get!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Byrd shoots in for a double leg but Bomb sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Byrd tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bomb sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Byrd somewhat.
Bomb shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Byrd is looking to get back to full guard here but Bomb has managed to pass to side control instead.
Byrd wants to control but Bomb postures up.

Bomb lands some shots froms side control.
Byrd tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bomb wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Bomb trying to control the position but Byrd is working away.
Byrd tries to improve position but can't.
Byrd gets back to half guard.
Byrd is looking to escape.
Byrd looks winded!
Bomb working Byrd over with strikes.
Byrd makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Byrd.

Byrd manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bomb manages to get himself to full guard.
Bomb is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Byrd frees his head nicely. Oh but Bomb has switched to an armbar! Byrd is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
