Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Luther (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Salace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luther kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Superheroes by Edguy. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Salace shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Salace showed some decent athleticism there.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Salace stalling away here and it's allowed Luther to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Luther working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Salace.
Luther pulls Salace in close to prevent any damage.
Salace postures up in Luther's guard and throws a big left but Luther blocks it.
Luther knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Salace on the ground.
Salace cracks Luther with a solid left hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luther can't keep his opponent in guard - Salace advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Luther on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Luther tries to get out of the position.

Luther is concentrating on defense, preventing Salace from advancing position.
Salace throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Salace is working for a submission of some sort.
Salace wants to control but Luther is keeping him busy.

Salace throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Salace tries to pass to full mount but Luther defends it.
Salace is keen to just control but Luther is a slippery customer.
Salace throwing shots but Luther is blocking nicely.

Salace is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Luther sees it coming and defends easily.

Salace wants to work for an arm triangle but Luther is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Salace has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Luther defend it? Salace steps over the head and cranks it - Luther is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Salace!

A very excited looking Simon Salace rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
