Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sjing Sjask (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Rook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sjask comes to the cage accompanied by People of the sun - R.A.T.M.. The crowd seem to be enjoying Rook's choice of entrance music: Shinedown-Simple Man. Sjing Sjask has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sjing Sjask!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Rook!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sjask throws a sloppy head kick
and Rook connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sjask blocks a head kick by Rook.
Rook misses with a shot to the body
and Sjask counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rook moves out of range of the strikes.
Sjask misses with an uppercut. Rook saw that one coming.
Sjask connects with an inside leg kick.
Sjask fails with an attempt to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rook.
Sjask leaves Rook with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sjask connects with a solid leg kick.

Rook checks the leg kick nicely there.
Rook tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sjask swivels and escapes.
Sjing Sjask has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Rook.

Sjing Sjask is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sjask moves in looking to clinch but Rook pushes him off.

Sjask is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rook is defending well for now.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sjask decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rook, up you get!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Rook bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Rook connects with a nice looking jab.
Rook throws a low kick but Sjask moves out of range easily.

Rook shoots in looking for a takedown but Sjask manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rook's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rook is on top in guard.

Rook won't allow Sjask to get back to his feet.
Sjask tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rook works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Sjask is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Rook thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rook wants to pass to mount but Sjask is defending the position.
Rook is trying to control. Sjask wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Rook working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sjask is concentrating on defense, preventing Rook from advancing position.

Sjask lands a brutal head kick. Rook looks out on his feet and Sjask throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
