Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Mendeljohn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drago Novak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendeljohn comes to the cage accompanied by Them Bones by Alice In Chains. Drago Novak has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendeljohn swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Mendeljohn looks to land a left hand but Novak moved out of range nicely.
Mendeljohn takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Mendeljohn throws a lazy uppercut

and Novak moves into the clinch.
Novak keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mendeljohn's efforts to push away.
Novak has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mendeljohn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Novak tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Novak decides to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mendeljohn trying to control the position from guard on top but Novak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mendeljohn wants to pass the guard but Novak is keeping the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dexter Mendeljohn wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Mendeljohn throws the left hand but Novak avoids the punch easily.
Dexter Mendeljohn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mendeljohn takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The crowd cheers as Novak lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mendeljohn doesn't seem phased though.
Mendeljohn throws a hook to the side of Novak's head but Novak sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dexter Mendeljohn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Novak takes the fight into the clinch.
Mendeljohn is trying to stall.
Mendeljohn avoids a wild elbow strike from Novak.
Mendeljohn wants to break the clinch but can't.

Novak jumps guard.
Mendeljohn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mendeljohn is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Novak has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Mendeljohn is looking to defend but Novak has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Mendeljohn! Novak pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Mendeljohn taps out and this one is all over!
