The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt throws a head kick but Nixon moves out of range.
Nixon is looking to clinch but Hunt is avoiding it.
Nixon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nixon tries to clinch there but Hunt circles away.
Hunt lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Nixon scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Nixon throws a series of punches but Hunt moves out of range.
Hunt throws a quick inside leg kick.
Nixon wants to clinch
and Hunt counters with a body kick that stops Nixon in his tracks momentarily.
Hunt misses with a looping left.
Nixon tries to close the distance and clinch but Hunt swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nixon throws a right and a left that Hunt avoids nicely.
Nixon takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nixon has his takedown stuffed
and Hunt counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hunt throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nixon fails with the takedown
and Hunt counters with an inside leg kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hunt.
Nixon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nixon looks winded!
Hunt feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Nixon's calf.
Nixon blocks a head kick by Hunt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunt chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Hunt slips under a jab from Nixon.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hunt.
Hunt tries to bum rush Nixon with a series of wild strikes but Nixon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nixon tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Hunt counters with a nice leg kick.

Hunt lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Hunt dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Nixon's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Nixon takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hunt tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A solid leg kick lands there for Hunt.
Hunt looks to land a combination. Nixon sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Nixon is rocked!
Hunt moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Nixon is still on wobbly legs! Can Hunt finish him?
Mike Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hunt throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Nixon stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Hunt follows into mount!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
A big strike lands for Hunt! That's really hurt Nixon and he's turned his back - Hunt keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Hunt jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
