Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bum fails to land the takedown.
Bum misses with a takedown attempt - Rickels sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Rickels closes the distance and clinches.

Rickels wants the takedown. Bum is fighting it off but Rickels persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bum's guard against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bum is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rickels defends well.

Bum is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bum tries to control but Rickels wriggling away.
Rickels's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rickels closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bum misses with a hook from the clinch.
Rickels is leaning against Bum and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Bum jumps guard but Rickels stands there with Bum around his waist. Bum gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bum drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rickels pulls his leg out and moves away.

Bum gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rickels to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Rickels not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bum doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Rickels really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Evan Rickels has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Bum misses with the combination.
Rickels lands with a nice combination. Bum backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Sheer Bum has been cut.

Rickels has hold of one of Bum's legs. Bum is fighting the takedown attempt but Rickels gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bum manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rickels manages to get himself to full guard.

Rickels takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Sheer Bum overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bum wants to finish this one by submission but Rickels is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bum.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bum wants to control the pace but Rickels is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Evan Rickels showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Sheer Bum's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Rickels feints and as Bum raises his hands in defense, Rickels changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bum is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rickels is controlling him.
Rickels would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bum has control of Rickels's left arm, preventing Rickels from doing any damage.

Bum looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rickels wants to control from the top but Bum keeps moving.
Rickels is stalling in the full guard.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bum is adopting a defensive guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Evan Rickels hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Rickels fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bum, pushing him back against the cage.
Rickels lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bum backwards.

Bum slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Bum is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rickels can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bum is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Rickels!

Rickels is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bum gets his way!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
