Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between VortzU Bakhtin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rousimar Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rousimar Palhares struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bakhtin scores with a jab. Palhares acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Palhares looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Bakhtin connects with a looping right hand.
Bakhtin fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Palhares takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bakhtin catches Palhares with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bakhtin stalks Palhares and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Palhares's face. Palhares staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Rousimar Palhares has been cut.
Bakhtin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Palhares's head.

Palhares is rocked!
Palhares doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Palhares is still on wobbly legs! Can Bakhtin finish him?
Bakhtin ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Palhares's jaw. Palhares's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Bakhtin does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). VortzU Bakhtin!
In his post fight interview, VortzU Bakhtin started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
