Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between DeMarcus Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, DeMarcus Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dante Sanders! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanders tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range. Johnson tries to clinch but Sanders is having none of it. Johnson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sanders blocks a jab. Johnson looks to clinch and Sanders counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Johnson is looking to clinch. Sanders keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Johnson, right into the meat.
Johnson slow jab from Sanders misses its intended target. Johnson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Sanders is out of range and Johnson settles back down. Johnson lands a jab to the nose.
Sanders is rocked!
It looks like Dante Sanders has been cut. Johnson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sanders cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sanders tries to clinch but Johnson is having none of it. Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Sanders. Sanders throws a series of strikes that have Johnson backpedaling.
Johnson throws a head kick but Sanders moves out of range.
Johnson checks a low kick from Sanders. Johnson lands a with a good body shot. Sanders looks gassed! Johnson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
That's one minute gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for Johnson.
Johnson cracks Sanders with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Sanders is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him? Johnson throws a head kick that misses and Sanders counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A nice leg kick lands there from Sanders. Sanders seems to have recovered his senses. Johnson takes a swing at Sanders's ribcage but misses. Sanders tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Johnson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sanders fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Johnson. Johnson misses with a leg kick so Sanders counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Sanders stands up over Johnson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanders loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Johnson keeping moving, preventing Sanders from controlling successfully. Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sanders on the ground. Sanders pushing down on Johnson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Sanders passes to full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanders working for a guillotine from mount but Johnson is in no mood to give up. Sanders looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Sanders seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Johnson is holding on tight.
Johnson is trying to stand up. Sanders looking to control but Johnson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Sanders looking to secure an arm triangle but Johnson defends it well. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Johnson has given up his back. Will we see Sanders going for some submissions?
Sanders is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Johnson has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Sanders has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Johnson taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Sanders doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Dante Sanders!
