Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Olavi Tahto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pierce has chosen Civil War - Guns N Roses as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierce shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tahto's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pierce can do anything to dispel that myth.
Pierce bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Pierce stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tahto swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pierce throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tahto works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Pierce is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Pierce really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tahto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tahto had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pierce is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Tahto Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pierce's back instead.
Pierce should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Pierce has eaten all the pies!
Tahto is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Pierce is staying active underneath Tahto, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Tahto decides to stand up.
Pierce has his takedown stuffed
and Tahto counters with a hugh head kick that removes Pierce from consiousness! A brutal head kick knockout!
