Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrew Summer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Maksim Zotov!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Summer rushes Zotov and presses him up against the cage.
Zotov lands a left hand that snaps the head of Summer backwards.

Summer manages to break the clinch.
Zotov fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Summer.
Zotov keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Summer closes the distance and clinches.
Summer lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Zotov or not.
Summer lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Zotov backwards.
Summer stalling.
Summer wants to get back to striking at distance but Zotov won't allow it.
Summer tries to circle away but Zotov has him pinned against the cage.

Summer gets a trip takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Zotov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Summer pulls his head out easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andrew Summer.
Summer looks for a takedown but Zotov sprawls well.

Zotov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Zotov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Summer is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Summer darts in and clinches Zotov up against the cage.
Zotov tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Zotov looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Zotov using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Summer has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Nice body punch from Summer.
Zotov is looking to control Summer's arms but Summer gets an underhook and turns him. Now Zotov has his back to the cage.
Summer tries to pull guard but Zotov holds him up against the cage and eventually Summer drops back down to his feet.

Summer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Zotov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Summer.
Zotov jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Summer takes a swing at Zotov's ribcage but misses.
Summer moves forwards but Zotov connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Summer throws a combination. Zotov tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Summer's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Summer duly obliges.
Summer fails with a takedown attempt.

Zotov misses with an uppercut.
Sloppy strikes from Zotov. Those never looked like landing.
Zotov wants to slow Summer down by chopping away at his legs.

Summer gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Summer has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Zotov uses from the top position.

Zotov throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Summer escapes and throws Zotov's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Zotov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Summer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Zotov is looking to advance position but Summer has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Well Summer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Andrew Summer tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
