The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galasso throws a lazy body kick
and Ferrari counters with a big head kick but Galasso shrugs it off.
Ferrari connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Enzo Galasso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Ferrari. Galasso shrugs it off though.

Galasso moves into the clinch successfully.
Ferrari wants to get back to striking at distance but Galasso won't allow it.

Galasso pulls Ferrari into guard.

Galasso is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Galasso tries to pull guard but Ferrari holds him up against the cage and eventually Galasso drops back down to his feet.
Galasso wants to get back to striking at distance but Ferrari won't allow it.
Ferrari is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Ferrari keeps control of Galasso as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Galasso has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ferrari regains guard immediately.
Ferrari trying to keep a closed guard but Galasso is proving a slippery customer.
Ferrari knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Galasso on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ferrari is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Galasso is controlling him.

Galasso decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ferrari, up you get!
Galasso looks to throw the jab but Ferrari is out of range.
No joy there for Galasso, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Galasso misses with a looping left.
Ferrari scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
A low kick from Galasso is predictable there
and Ferrari counters with a body kick.
Marcelo Ferrari is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Galasso ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ferrari moves away.
Ferrari throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Enzo Galasso has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Galasso misses with a few strikes there.
Galasso looks winded!
Galasso throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Galasso takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Galasso is rocked!
Ferrari chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Galasso is still on wobbly legs! Can Ferrari finish him?
Ferrari looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Ferrari backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Galasso's temple! It sends Galasso violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Ferrari celebrates and the doctors try to help Galasso!
