Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marek Koltun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hill comes to the cage accompanied by Kiss - Detroit Rock City. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marek Koltun!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koltun's corner calls for a 1-2. Koltun obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Koltun shoots in for a takedown but Hill shows good takedown defense.
Nice cross by Hill.
Koltun ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hill moves away.

Hill forces Koltun back against the cage and clinches.
Hill is working for takedown but Koltun is calmly controlling the position for now.
Koltun tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Hill misses with a hook to the ribs.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Hill as Koltun tries to tie him up.
Koltun misses with a short punch on the inside.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Koltun.
Koltun doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Koltun breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Koltun scores with a nice head shot.
A jab from Koltun does it's job there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A cross from Hill lands.


It looks like Marek Koltun has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hill. Koltun does a little dance to reset his feet.
Koltun fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Koltun throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hill sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Koltun throws an off balance right hand
and Hill counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hill slips a jab from Koltun.
Hill closes the distance looking to clinch
and Koltun counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Hill gets a takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Koltun tries to roll over but Hill keeps him under control.
Koltun flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Hill has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Koltun desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Hill not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Hill is thwarting Koltun's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hill lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hill looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Hill wants to take a breather but Koltun is having none of it.

Koltun is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Koltun gets back to full guard.
Hill postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Koltun is on top in guard.

Koltun stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hill swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hill keeping moving, preventing Koltun from controlling successfully.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Koltun trying to control but Hill is working from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Koltun gets a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that George Hill will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Marek Koltun's cut.
That's time! Hill's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Hill misses with an uppercut. Koltun saw that one coming.
Hill slips under a jab from Koltun.
Hill cracks a nice hook into Koltun's ribs.

Koltun tries to keep at a distance but Hill has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hill tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Koltun lands an elbow just above Hill 's eye.
Koltun is looking to control Hill's arms but Hill gets an underhook and turns him. Now Koltun has his back to the cage.
Koltun blocking some punches.
Koltun throws a punch but it's blocked by Hill.
Koltun is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Hill gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Koltun preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Hill looking to pass the guard.
Hill preventing the sweep.
Koltun preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Koltun wants to hit a switch here but Hill passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Koltun there!

Hill thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Hill scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Koltun is desperately trying to improve his position but Hill has a good base and remains in mount.
Koltun takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Hill misses with a head shot.
Koltun is trying to escape the mount.
Hill scoring with strikes but Koltun is staying in there.
Koltun tries to reverse the position but Hill maintains control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Koltun is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Koltun is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Koltun is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Koltun is in a horrible position here. Hill smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.


Koltun is rocked!
Hill loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Koltun scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Hill land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Hill stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George Hill!
George Hill decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
