Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between luke cummo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomppa Tyrmaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
cummo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Tyrmaaja looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
cummo taking a breather here.
cummo decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Tyrmaaja moves in looking to clinch but cummo pushes him off.
cummo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
cummo misses with a head kick.
Tyrmaaja throws a head kick that misses.
cummo shoots in and bounces Tyrmaaja off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
cummo prevents Tyrmaaja from getting back to his feet.
cummo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
cummo decides to stand and escape the position.
Tyrmaaja moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like luke cummo has been cut.
cummo gets the takedown into side control.
Tyrmaaja is trying to buck cummo off.
Tyrmaaja is looking to regain half guard here but cummo keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
cummo stands up and we're back to a striking position.
cummo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
cummo tries for a takedown but Tyrmaaja manages to get underhooks.

cummo works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

cummo passes easily into side control. Nice work.
cummo has hold of Tyrmaaja's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Tyrmaaja tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - cummo cranks the arm and Tyrmaaja screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Tyrmaaja, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). luke cummo!
