Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Claudio Demaestri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lasse Vidar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lasse Vidar told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Demaestri shoots in and gets a takedown into Vidar's guard.
Demaestri slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Demaestri is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Vidar has escaped the position, nice work there.

Demaestri looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Demaestri is trying to get an arm triangle but Vidar is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Demaestri working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Demaestri wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vidar keeps working.

Demaestri is working to tighten is grip on Vidar's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Vidar has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Demaestri is really squeezing tight and eventually Vidar passes out! Demaestri breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
