Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rock Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mickey Davies!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Davies paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Lee. No joy for Davies on that attempt.
Davies shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lee pinned against the cage. Lee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lee tries a head kick but it misses.
Davies shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lee as he avoids it easily.
Rock Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mickey Davies.
Davies blocks a head kick by Lee.
Davies dives in and grabs Lee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes down on Davies's head and hops out.
Lee misses with a head kick.
Lee lands a leg kick that knocks Davies off balance momentarily.
Lee lands a head kick. Davies smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
A chopping leg kick lands by Lee.
Lee throws a head kick that Davies semi-blocks.
Davies tries for a takedown but Lee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Nice sprawl there from Davies as Lee shoots in.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Davies avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Lee tries to land a leg kick but Davies saw it coming and moves away.
Davies blocks a head kick by Lee.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Davies paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lee gets caught flat footed, as Davies shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee is looking to stand up but Davies isn't so interested in that idea.
Lee is breathing heavily.
Lee keeping moving, preventing Davies from controlling successfully.
Davies landing with the ground and pound.
Davies in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Davies engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Davies's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Davies seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Davies prevents Lee from getting back to his feet.
Davies is pushing down on Lee's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lee is fighting to maintain full guard but Davies has managed to sneak the leg through.

Davies lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Davies has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Davies in particular looking to stall.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Davies looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lee with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Davies closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lee's guard.

Lee is looking to stand up but Davies isn't so interested in that idea.
Davies trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lee could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mickey Davies wasn't active enough on the ground.
Davies misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Lee prevents the takedown attempt.
Davies is trying to drag Lee to the mat but Lee just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Davies is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lee gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Lee tries to break free but Davies pushes him back against the cage.

Davies gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Lee regains guard.
Lee wants to stand up but Davies is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mickey Davies was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Davies gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Lee's face as he tries to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mickey Davies showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Davies fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lee avoids it really well and circles away.

Davies takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Lee is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lee pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Davies keeps the fight on the outside.
Davies tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lee swivels and escapes.

Davies closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Davies thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Davies throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Lee to regain full guard.
Davies looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Davies is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rock Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davies can do anything to dispel that myth.

Davies throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Lee throws a strike but Davies rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Mickey Davies.
I've got Davies winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
