Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Vengrio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vengrio comes to the ring accompanied by Muay Thai. The crowd seem to be enjoying Swanson's choice of entrance music: all nightmare long by metallica. Karl Swanson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arthur Vengrio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karl Swanson!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swanson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Vengrio lands with a shot to the body.
Vengrio throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Swanson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vengrio.
A combination from Vengrio does no damage.
Vengrio goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Swanson misses with a hook. Vengrio ducked under it nicely.
Swanson shoots in for a takedown but Vengrio shows good takedown defense.
Vengrio misses with a wild combination.
Arthur Vengrio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Vengrio throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Swanson counters with a nice body shot.
Vengrio dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Swanson. That did some damage!
Swanson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Swanson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Swanson there as he acknowledges the shot.
Vengrio wants to clinch but Swanson slips to the side
and Swanson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Vengrio misses with the combination.
Vengrio throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vengrio connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vengrio misses with a series of wild punches.
Swanson slips a jab and a cross from Vengrio.
Arthur Vengrio is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Swanson on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Vengrio tries a head kick but it misses.
Vengrio fails in his attempt to clinch.
Vengrio rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Swanson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vengrio keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vengrio lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Nice uppercut lands for Swanson. That snapped Vengrio's head back.
It looks like Arthur Vengrio has been cut.
Swanson shoots and misses
and Vengrio counters with a series of strikes that sends Swanson to the canvas! Vengrio follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!
Arthur Vengrio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karl Swanson.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Swanson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Swanson wants to stand and escape but Vengrio is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Vengrio trying to control but Swanson is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Arthur Vengrio.
Vengrio tries to close the distance and clinch but Swanson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Vengrio will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Swanson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Arthur Vengrio dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Arthur Vengrio's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Vengrio swinging wildly here.
Swanson throws a lazy right hand but Vengrio sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Arthur Vengrio is winning the standup battle so far.
Vengrio lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Swanson slips under a jab.
Vengrio throws a series of punches but Swanson avoids them all with ease.
Swanson throws a hook but Vengrio avoids it easily.
Swanson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Vengrio lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Swanson crumples to the floor! Vengrio milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Arthur Vengrio!
Arthur Vengrio very nearly forgot to thank SPARTA FIGHTWARE-GTI amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
