Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marku Parasca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dontae Sheldon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sheldon has chosen Salmon Song as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Bruno Lombardi and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parasca tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sheldon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Parasca throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sheldon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Parasca takes a swing at Sheldon's ribcage but misses.
Sheldon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sheldon wants it to stay on the feet.
Parasca shoots in looking for a takedown. Sheldon tries to sprawl out of it but Parasca keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sheldon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A nice combination there by Sheldon.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Parasca drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sheldon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sheldon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sheldon!

Parasca drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Parasca jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Sheldon paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Sheldon feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Parascas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

A decent looking cross lands there for Parasca.
Parasca changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sheldon tries to avoid it but Parasca manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sheldon to the ground. Sheldon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sheldon lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Parasca can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Sheldon and Parasca drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Sheldon.
