Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gomer Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Coryatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacobs's entrance music is Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting. A fine choice. Coryatt has chosen Welcome 2 Houston as his entrance music. Kevin Coryatt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gomer Jacobs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Coryatt!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs has his takedown stuffed
and Coryatt counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sloppy strikes from Jacobs. Those never looked like landing.
Jacobs tries for a takedown but Coryatt circles away easily
and Coryatt makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Jacobs really felt that one!

and Coryatt cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Jacobs has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Coryatt can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jacobs working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Coryatt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Coryatt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jacobs has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Coryatt is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jacobs.

Jacobs seems a little lost for a moment, as Coryatt dominates the positioning.

Jacobs sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Well Coryatt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
