Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cabbage Face (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Face comes into the arena with Monsta's Ball blaring out of the sound system. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Face pushes Silva away with a front kick.
Face lands with a straight right. Silva didn't see that one coming.
Nice sprawl there from Silva as Face shoots in.
A shot to the liver by Face. Beautiful body shot.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Face.
Silva moves in looking to clinch but Face pushes him off.
Face connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Silva's hands.
Face changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Face manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Silva gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Face.
Silva wants to clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Face counters with a series of strikes. Silva will be more careful next time no doubt.

Face tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Face somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cabbage Face. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva throws a leg kick but Face checks it.
Silva slips under a jab.
Silva closes the distance looking to clinch
and Face makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Silva really felt that one!

Face darts in and clinches Silva up against the cage.

Face takes an elbow to the temple.

It looks like Cabbage Face has been cut.
Silva tries to land knees in the clinch but Face avoids the damage to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva prevents the takedown attempt.
Face blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Silva creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Face's defenses.

Cabbage Face's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Cabbage Face's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
