Staton's entrance music is Mgła- With Hearts Toward None II . A fine choice. Calypso has chosen Jedi Mind Tricks - Genghis Khan as his entrance music. Lee Staton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lee Staton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Calypso!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Staton misses.
Calypso chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Staton can pounce on him.
Calypso on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Staton. Staton obviously looking to wear him down.

Calypso shoots in and bounces Staton off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Calypso throws a big right hand that misses.
Staton keeping moving, preventing Calypso from controlling successfully.
Calypso postures up in Staton's guard and throws a big left but Staton blocks it.
Staton trying to control the position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Staton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Calypso manages to get himself to full guard.
Staton throwing strikes but missing.

Staton trying to stand up but can't free himself from Calypso's guard.
Staton trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Calypso wants to sweep but no luck.
Calypso utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Staton throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Calypso works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Calypso escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Staton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Calypso working for a triangle but Staton defends it easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Staton throwing strikes from guard but Calypso blocks nicely.

Calypso is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Calypso keeping moving, preventing Staton from controlling successfully.
Staton landing some decent shots from guard.

Calypso looking for a guillotine here but Staton defends easily.
Staton looking to pass the guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Staton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Calypso has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Staton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Staton trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Staton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Calypso has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Staton has managed to get both his arms back between Calypso's legs - danger averted.

Calypso is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Staton is aware though and is defending well.
Staton missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Staton throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Calypso works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Staton working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Staton postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Staton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Staton gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Staton throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Calypso misses with a looping right.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Staton's corner calls for a 1-2. Staton obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Staton throws a one two combo.
Staton tries to land a front kick but Calypso steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee Staton dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Calypso is defended easily by Staton.
Staton lands with a nice body kick.
Staton misses with a low kick.
Lee Staton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Calypso shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Calypso was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Staton manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Staton tries to roll over but Calypso keeps him under control.
Calypso takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Calypso is keen to just control but Staton is a slippery customer.
Staton tries to get to full guard but Calypso has control of the leg.

Staton gets full guard.
Staton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Staton avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Calypso loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Calypso trying to control the position from guard on top but Staton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Calypso is in close to Staton's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Calypso wants to control from the top but Staton keeps moving.

Calypso advances to half guard.
Calypso thows a huge punch but Staton dodges it nicely.
Calypso is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Calypso unloads with some shots from mount but Staton bucks and avoids them well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A nice elbow there by Calypso.
Staton is in all sorts of trouble here.
Staton is bucking up trying to escape but Calypso cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Calypso dominating with strikes here.
Calypso working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Staton takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.


Staton is rocked!

Staton is wriggling around trying to escape.
Jack Calypso has got the better of the ground game so far.
Calypso throws some wild stikes that Staton manages to avoid easily.
Calypso softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Staton is out cold! Calypso jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Calypso!
