The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis tries to clinch up.

Davis gets tackled into the cage by Giani. Giani maintains the clinch.

Davis pulls guard effortlessly.
Davis looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Giani is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Davis looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Davis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Giani decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Davis shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Giani manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Giani has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Davis is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Giani has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Davis is looking to defend but Giani has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Davis! Giani pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Davis taps out and this one is all over!
