Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sheer Bum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raven Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sheer Bum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raven Lucas!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas avoids the body shot from Bum.
Lucas looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Lucas feints and as Bum raises his hands in defense, Lucas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bum throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Lucas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lucas is looking to stand up but Bum won't let him.
Lucas stands up from Bum's guard - Lucas perhaps looking for a knockout.
Lucas blocks a head kick by Bum.
Lucas shoots in and gets a takedown into Bum's guard.

Bum controls Lucas momentarily but Lucas frees himself.

Lucas tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Lucas stops Bum from getting back to his feet.
Lucas decides to stand up.

Lucas scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Bum tries for a takedown but Lucas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lucas scores with a push kick.
A jab from Bum misses.
Bum takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lucas shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lucas was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bum tries to lock up and control but Lucas gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bum sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Lucas stands up from half guard.
Lucas scores with a one two! Bum had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Lucas throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Bum fails with the takedown.
Lucas lands a nice shot that snaps Bum's head back.
Nice body punch from Lucas.
Lucas looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Lucas decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Bum doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lucas counters with a two punch combo.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sheer Bum. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bum dives in and grabs Lucas's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lucas pushes down on Bum's head and hops out.
Bum is breathing heavily.
A right-left combo lands from Lucas.
Bum takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bum takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Lucas drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lucas decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lucas lands with a nice combination. Bum backs away looking to recover.
Bum steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lucas. That one must have hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lucas lands a head shot.
Lucas looking to score a takedown here. Bum is defending well but Lucas drives through and ends up in Bum's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lucas gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Bum looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lucas is fending him off so far but Bum persists. Nope, Lucas circles away and we're back to standing.
Lucas lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bum's sensitive parts.

Bum wriggles free and stands up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Lucas swats away the attempt to clinch by Bum.
Lucas closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lucas scores with a nice body kick.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Bum. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Bum looks to clinch
and Lucas counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lucas decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bum, up you get!
Lucas goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Lucas connects with a leg kick. Bum looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Lucas lands a head kick. Bum smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Lucas has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bum on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Lucas lands with a nice combination. Bum backs away looking to recover.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bum tries to sprawl but Lucas drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Lucas lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Lucas lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lucas.
Lucas closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Lucas stands up and beckons Bum to his feet.
Bum shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lucas counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Lucas decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Lucas cracks a nice hook into Bum's ribs.
Raven Lucas seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Bum gets caught flat footed, as Lucas shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Lucas decides to stand and escape the position.
Lucas fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bum to the ground. Lucas is now in Bum's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Raven Lucas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Lucas shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bum eats them both and turns towards Lucas to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

and Lucas counters with a single leg into guard. Bum didn't expect that.

Lucas throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bum was covering up waiting for the punch and Lucas finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Lucas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lucas seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Bum is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bum misses with a takedown attempt
and Lucas counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bum is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Lucas stands up.
Lucas throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bum tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lucas is in Bum's guard.

Well Lucas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
