Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fury Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niels Mulvad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Niels Mulvad has been cut.
Mulvad tries to clinch there but Thomas circles away.
Mulvad tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thomas swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

and Mulvad decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Thomas's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thomas bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mulvad's guard.

Thomas throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mulvad makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Thomas really felt that one!
Thomas pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mulvad back to the cage. Thomas follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
